§§- Canon de campagne Americain de 4.7 pouces mle 1906 aux USA - Danvers - US Army National Guard (Massachusetts)
De la part de Bill Ricker :
Bonjour !
I found another that is not in any of the lists, yours or elsewhere.
A newly reactivated Field Artillery "Battery" (Company) in the US Army National Guard (Massachusetts) has a 4.7" gun out front of their Armory.
SITE: MA NG Armory, 2 Armory Rd, Danvers, MA 01923 42.568588, -70.975547
Gun : 4.7 inch M1906M1
- Looks like it says "Northwestern Ordnance Co", which seems to be a normal phrase per others.
- No. 5?6 (?)
- but much too much paint! Number are hard to read! Even with CSI:ENHANCE mode.
( you'll see i resorted 'sepia' to remove paint color clash )
Carriage: on Model of 1906 carriage, No. 603, Studebaker Corp, 1918
(Breach with handle is tack-welded shut, not disfigured by demilitarization. That's nice.)
( Unclear to me if 1906M1 is what you call the original (it's first modification in the design by nomenclature) or what you call the 1917.)
